EuroPython Talk

I just gave a talk at EuroPython 2018 on Autism in the Workplace. It went well. I made the text too small on the slides and only realized very late, but it wasn't too much of a disaster as the slides were more notes for me to remember what to say and the audience didn't particularly need to read them.

Aside: I used WebSlides instead of my more usual Reveal.js, and it was a bit of a disappointment. I'm not sure if I'll use it again.

The talk got roughly the reaction I was hoping for. There was no heckling, I didn't embarrass myself (as far as I know), and several people were very keen to talk to me afterwards. A few people gave feedback that they hadn't really thought about autism before, and it was good to reach those people, but the people I was really glad to reach were those who had half-considered they might be autistic, but hadn't done anything about it. I'm really hoping to reach more of those people and maybe to help them cope better with their problems and take better advantage of their super-powers.
